Sharing the loss I experienced in a variety of different ways has been very beneficial for me.
Initially I found it therapeutic writing a card to my loved one expressing my thoughts and feelings. Being able to recall special memories and write them down really helped too.
Talking to other family members and friends also enabled me to get things off my chest.
This then led to a series of counselling sessions enabling me to process what had happened.
More recently I have been able to engage with other bereaved people in a group setting which I value greatly.
